Description
Finish carpenter needed for kitchen & bathroom remodeling company in Chico, CA. At least 2 years of experience is required. $18-22 per hour starting wage with opportunity to negotiate a higher wage with commissions after trial period. Must be reliable and punctual.
Responsibilities
Duties to include:
- Prepare wood structures for finishing by shaping and trimming with hand or power tools
- Take measurements to develop suitable layout for a fixture
- Assemble wooden components to fabricate useful structures such as desks, and shelves
- Carry out cost and quantity estimates of raw materials required for a finishing project
- Material selection
- Design, build, and install cabinets
- Carry out measurement and installation of products
- Provide varnishing and staining services for woodwork
- Guide and direct the activities of fabrication workers
- Implement safety and health regulations during work operations to ensure environmentally friendly and safe structure
- Install and repair materials as needed
Qualifications
At least 2 years of previous experience is required.
